When to see a doctor
- Your HbA1c is 5.7% or more and you haven’t talked to a doctor about it.
- You have diabetes and your HbA1c is above the target your doctor set.
- Your HbA1c and your home sugar readings don’t seem to match. Some conditions, such as anaemia, can affect HbA1c.
