What is prediabetes?

Blood sugar higher than normal but not yet in the diabetes range, such as a fasting sugar of 100 to 125 mg/dL or an HbA1c of 5.7 to 6.4%. Weight loss and regular activity can often stop it turning into diabetes.

These are general explanations, not medical advice. Your doctor’s advice about your own health comes first.
