What are fasting and PP blood sugar tests?

Blood tests of your sugar level after at least 8 hours without food (fasting) and two hours after a meal (PP, short for post-prandial). They are used to diagnose diabetes and to check how well it is controlled.

Have this test on a report? Check your values with the lab report reader.

These are general explanations, not medical advice. Your doctor’s advice about your own health comes first.
