What does MRI mean?
MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging. A scan that uses a strong magnet and radio waves, not X-rays, to make detailed pictures, especially of the brain, spine, joints and soft tissues. It is painless but noisy; tell the staff about any metal implant or pacemaker.
